From September through November we will be hosting various Holiday Themed Art Programs. All art created during these programs will be displayed during the month of December as our Artists of the Month. After December the artist may take their works of art home. Registration will be required. Call the library 518-882-6385 to register and get details about each program. There are limits for some programs, so signup soon.
During all of these programs all material will be supplied.
Programs
September 30th 10:30–11:30 – Holiday Art Exhibit Craft Prep
- Family – Ages 10 & up, under 10 with an adult
- Snowflake Art Project
October 19th 12:30 – 2:00 – Easy Holiday Faux Stain Glass
- Family – Ages 7 & up
- Limit 20 people, sign up soon!
- This program involves a 2-part process.
- Creating the leading outlines of the design, this is to be done several days prior to the program date, as the leading needs time to dry. Come to the library to do this part. Materials and directions will be provided.
- Painting the design, done during the program.
October 24th 5-7 – Winter Scene Acrylics Painting
- Teens & Adults
- Limit 16 people, sign-up soon!
- Kat McCleneghen will teach you how to paint a wonderful winter scene using acrylic paints
November 2nd 10:30-11:30 – Holiday Cutout Artwork
- Family – Ages 10 & up, under 10 with an adult
- Use cutouts to create a unique and personalized art panel
November 4th 5-6 – Holiday Patchwork Art
- Teens & Adults
- Joy Karns will lead you through how to create a unique work of art using a variety of materials
November 211st 6-8PM – Create a Waterless Snow Globe
- Family – Ages 10 & up, under 10 with an adult
- Using various supplies, create a hoilday theme snow globe
